Adults are invited to enroll in the following Arts Palace classes being held at the Marion Palace Theatre. The registration deadline is one week before each class is scheduled to begin.
Oil Painting at the Palace is a class for students who have never used oils or for those who wish to improve their painting skills. Students will experiment with oil paints and develop an individual style. Participants will focus on color, brushwork, composition, light and space. Paints and canvas will be provided. Participants are asked to bring their own brushes.
This three week class begins on Tuesday, May 11 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Oil Painting is taught by Anne Quilter, Registered Art Therapist & Art Educator with Marion City Schools. Class fee is $40.
Wanna-Be quilters will learn about rotary cutting techniques during an informative demonstration by quilting expert Joy Watkins, owner Quilter’s Joy and member of Ohio Longarm Quilters. So You Want To Be A Quilter? is an introduction to the colorful world of quilting.
Students need to only bring a notepad and pen to this class on Monday, May 17 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Class fee is $10.
Palace Theatre members receive a 10% discount. Individuals registering for multiple classes receive a 5% discount.
