Joan Lane-Earhart, age 85 of Marion, passed away on Thursday March 19, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Joan was born in Centerville, Ohio on Sunday March 16, 1930 to the late Walter J. and Vera (Collins) Fox.
Being a farmer’s wife, you could find Joan mowing the yard, driving tractors, and helping out around the farm wherever she was needed. Above all, she loved making memories by spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Joan served as an Elder at the Church of Manna Ministries House of Prayer where she enjoyed leading worship music. Away from her responsibilities at church, Joan loved doing needle work such as sewing and crocheting. She also had a passion for using her talent singing at local nursing homes.
Joan will be greatly missed by her daughter Kathy Sue (Michael) Jordan and daughter-in-law Lynn Lane of Marion; Grandchildren: Tina (Matt) Taylor and Faber (Randy) Banks; Great Grandchildren: Wes and Thea Kennedy and Parker and Kayson; Brother James (Susan) Fox and her brothers in law Phillip (Donna Earhart and Joe (Jenny) Earhart.
Joan was met at Heaven’s gate by her parents, husbands Donald E. Lane and Troy V. Earhart, son Ronald D. Lane, grandson Jeff Jordan, and her brothers Robert E. Fox and Jack Fox.
Visitation will be held on Sunday March 22, 2015 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at theGunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Home, 347 West Center St., Marion; Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Monday, March 23, 2015 at 10:00am officiated by Reverend Naomi Beckel; Burial will be in Price Cemetery.
