Lowell L. Strohl, 83, of Radnor, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Grady Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Thompson Township on November 27, 1931, the son of the late Clay and Rosa (Yost) Strohl.
Lowell was a 1949 graduate of Radnor High School. After high school Lowell joined the United States Army, serving his country during the Korean War. Lowell retired as an electrician from Conrail (Erie Lackawanna) with 43 years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and roses, and all sports, especially the Cincinnati Reds. Lowell looked forward to every September to watch the Little Brown Jug with his family. He was an extremely devoted husband, father, and papa. He especially enjoyed watching the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren.
Lowell is survived by his wife Janice (Wright) of 57 years; four daughters, Sue (Chip) Mayes of Powell, Julie Sutter of Plain City, Tracy (Tom) Parker of Delaware, and Jody (Mike) Leienberger of Delaware; three grandchildren, Matthew (Madeline) Parker, Kasey (Kyle Eberst) Parker, and Joshua Mayes; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Lowell is preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Paul and JoAnn Strohl; mother and father-in-law, Earl and Ella Wright; and brother-in-law, Theodore Wright.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W William St at Velleyside Dr, Delaware, Ohio from 5:00 – 7:00 pm with a Celebration of Life to follow at 7:00 pm with Celebrant Don Lockwood officiating. A private family graveside will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Radnor Cemetery.
