Friday, May 15,, 2015 the Marion Area Counseling Center will hold its 5th annual Dinner and Auction featuring Cleveland’s Comic Provocateur Mike Polk Jr.
Mike Polk Jr. is a Cleveland based writer and comedian who works for Fox 8 Cleveland where he appears on their morning show, weekend sports show, and his own monthly half hour variety show called “The Mike Polk Jr. Show”. Mike has been performing stand up and sketch comedy for over ten years and has appeared at Montreal’s prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in 2013 and 2014. He has also produced hundreds of internet videos such as “The Cleveland Tourism Video” and “The Factory of Sadness” that have millions of views online. Mike authored a book in 2013 entitled “Damn Right I’m From Cleveland: Your Guide To Makin’ It In America’s 47th Biggest City”.
The event that is titled MACC Fest 2015 will take place at Park Place, downtown Marion. The doors will open at 6:00 pm. Dinner will be prepared by Tim Kildow of the Warehouse.
There will be close to 60 silent auction items and over 7 live auction items.
Tickets to the event are $40 and includes a $10 raffle ticket where you have 12 chances to win tickets to summer fun games and locations like; the Columbus Clippers, COSI, Cincinnati Reds, Cedar Point, Cleveland Indians, Tecumseh, Skate Zone, African Safari Wildlife Park, Columbus Crew, Sky Zone, Columbus Zoo, Pro Football Hall of Fame and Magic Mountain. Raffle tickets can be purchased separately for $10 each or 3 for $20.
All proceeds from the event will benefit programs of the Marion Area Counseling Center.
