Richard Mills, age 87, of Marion, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, May 17, 2015 at his residence.
Richard was born December 25, 1927 in Inez, KY to the late Fred and Cora (Ellen) Mills.
Richard married Ruby Horn on December 27, 1944 and she survives.
Richard began his ministry at the age of 18 and was an Evangelist and Pastored several churches in his career. He was employed by Armco Steel and retired in the early 1980’s. Richard was also an avid hunter and loved Gospel Bluegrass Music. He was a member of Local Channel 39 TV Program for many years singing and playing his guitar.
Richard is survived by his wife Ruby Mills, son Carson Mills of Orrville, OH; brothers, Charles Mills and James Mills; sisters, Thelma Horn and Ruth Fay Whitt all of Inez, KY; three grandchildren, Nate (Carol) Mills of Wooster, OH, Jeremy (Christina) Mills of Columbus, and Amanda (Josh) Spears of Wooster, OH; and seven great-grandchildren, Taylor, Drew and Toby Mills, Graham and Henry Mills, Sadie Spears, and Sophia Elizabeth Spears (newborn).
Richard was predeceased by children, Earnestine, George, twin boys, and Estelle Mills.
A visitation will be held 4PM to 7PM Monday, May 25, 2015 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors, a division of Snyder Funeral Homes. On Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Turkey Creek Nazarene in Inez, KY visitation will be held from 11AM until 1 PM followed by a funeral at 1PM. Burial will take place at Mills, Horn, Crum Cemetery in Inez, KY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Richard’s honor to Kindred at Home Hospice, 1199 Delaware Ave, Marion, OH.
