Evelyn Jean Davis, age 73, of Olentangy Woods in Galion died unexpectedly at her residence.
She was born on January 9, 1938 in Brush Ridge, Ohio the daughter of the late Charles A. and Armita Mae (Hanstine) Boyle.
Evelyn was a proud mother of four and homemaker and was the “neighborhood mommy” when her children were growing up. Everyone showed up for her cheeseburgers.
With and artistic nature, Evelyn enjoyed painting and drawing animals.
She also had a competitive side that would come out when she was playing BINGO with the other residence at Olentangy Woods.
She will be sadly missed by her four children Chuck R. Davis of Johnsville, Linda Kuhn, Lisa K. Davis, and David A. Davis all of Galion; 10 grandchildren Christina G. Davis, Zach M. Fuhrer, Chelesa M. Fuhrer, William S. Yocum, Candy M. Yocum, Nola A. Yocum, Doug A. Davis, Allen Kuhn, Samantha Kuhn, and Lynn Kuhn; and her brother Donald Boyle of Mount Gilead.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at the Snyder Funeral Home, 76 South Main Street, Mount Gilead at 2:00 PM. Friends may call from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Olentangy Woods for the loving care and kindness showed to their Mom.
