Lewis Glenn Ward, four month old beloved infant son of Matthew and Carrie (Blake) Ward of Sparta passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Mt. Vernon.
With an adventurous birth he was born on September 17, 2010 in Westerville. Always happy and with a cooing smile, he was a good natured little boy. To his chosen parents he will always be their “Happy Baby”, whom they dearly loved on. “Little Man” to Mom and “Little Lewey” to Dad, he was dearly loved by his siblings; sister Liberty who called him “Wewis” and “Baby” to his older brother Lincoln.
In addition to his immediate family he is also survived by Grandparents: Glenn and Cathy Blake, Stanley and Lucinda Ward, Great-grandparents: Jack (Marilyn) Smith, Dick (Katy) Curley, Harvey (VerDeal) Blake, Marilyn Ward, many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and supportive church family of the Sunbury Church of the Nazarene.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Sunbury Church of the Nazarene, 830 St Rt 61, Sunbury, where funeral services will follow Saturday 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Bean officiating. Burial will follow in Bloomfield Cemetery near Sparta. Arrangements have been entrusted to the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Sunbury.
