Marilyn J. Berringer age 86 of Marion, passed away on Saturday June 6, 2015 at her home.
She was born on October 21, 1928 in Marion, the daughter of J.Y. and Mildred I. (Haldeman) Apt. She graduated from Harding High School in 1946 and worked as a secretary at local insurance agencies over the years.
On August 3, 1950, Marilyn was united in marriage to Jack L. Berringer in Marion.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and White Shrine. She served as the secretary at the Masonic Temple Company and treasurer of the Women’s Club Home for 25 years.
Marilyn is survived by her children: Jerry L. (Geraldine) Berringer, Mindy Berringer, Jeff L. (Lisa) Berringer and John L. (Eunhee) Berringer; grandchildren: Andrew (Beverly) Berringer, Ryan (Heather) Berringer, Kaylee (Bryan) James, Ben (Beth) McGuire, Joe McGuire, Jane (Ben) Harper, Heather (Kyle) Dennison, Tiffany Berringer and Jason Berringer; great grandchildren: Casey Berringer, Cameron Dennison, Sydney James, Audrey James, Timmy McGuire, Bailey McGuire, Macey Harper and Ryan Harper.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack L. Berringer; sister Rosella Thibaut.
Visitation will be held on Sunday June 14, 2015 at Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center St., Marion from 3PM to 6PM; Funeral services will be held Monday at the funeral home at 10AM with Pastor Tim McGuire officiating; Burial will be in Marion Cemetery.
