Barbara K. McGlothlin, 66, of Delaware, Ohio and formerly of Marion, died unexpectedly in her home on Saturday, June 13, 2015.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years; James A. “Mickey” McGlothlin, three daughters; Kimberly (Walter) McGlothlin-Plaul of Galion, Amanda McGlothlin-Jessie of Delaware, and Kristy (Michael) McGlothlin-Easman of Delaware, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters; Peggy (John) Caudill of Hitchens, KY., and Freda “Corky” (Steve) Johnston of Marengo, and a brother; Todd (Patricia) O’dell of Delaware, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Ivada (Milum) O’dell-Williams of Delaware, Ralph E. O’dell of Portsmouth, and Tommy Williams (her stepfather) of Delaware, a brother; Ronald E. (Irene) O’dell of New Boston, and a sister; Glenda (Jim) Ewing of Powell, OH.
Barbara was an active member of White Oaks Road Freewill Baptist Church until alzheimers disease made it impossible for her to attend.
Barbara was a former PTA President at Oak Street School for several years and after her children were grown worked at Meijers and Peerless Cleaners. She was a caretaker for all who knew her until she could no longer care for even herself and even then she continued to make memories and share laughs to last a lifetime.
She is being cremated per her wishes. No services will be held.
