Zelma Marie Fitch age 85 of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Thursday June 25, 2015 at the Presidential Center Genesis HealthCare.
She was born February 1, 1930 in Louisa, Ky. to the late Luther and Susie (Webb) Endicott.
On April 5, 1947 in Inez, Ky. she married Chester Fitch and he preceded her in death on June 7, 2005.
Zelma was retired as a nurses aid and for ten years worked at various marion nursing homes. She was a woman of strong baptist faith and spirituality and was a member of the White Oaks Rd. Freewill Baptist Church.
Zelma leaves behind a daughter, Linda (Charles E.) Harris of Marion, Ohio, and three grandchildren; Tammy (John) Haas, Dawn Workman, and Charles Lee Harris, as well as great grandson, Yurik Khalilpour. Also surviving are six sisters and six brothers; Julie (Rudy) Maynard, Helen (Tivis) Hinkle, Evyleen McCoy, Monnett (Marvin) Horn, Bessie (Willie) Harrah, Joanne (Mitchell) Layne, Clifford (Josephine) Endicott, James (Lois) Endicott, Wilburn (Chorlett) Endicott, Howard (Emma) Endicott, Ralph (Stephanie) Endicott, and Billie R. Endicott.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Della Workman, three sisters; Juanita Endicott, Irene Johnson, Tillie Roush, and two brothers; Arnold and Otto Endicott.
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday June 30, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Barkley Slone. Burial will follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday two hours prior to the service from 11 to 1 P.M.
