Diane M. Freeman Fox, 65, of Marion

Diane M. Freeman Fox age 65 of Marion, Ohio passed away peacefully, February 4, 2011 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, with her husband and son at her side.

She was born on August 18, 1945 in Marion, Ohio to Harold “Fats” and Rita (Coffey) Millisor.

Diane will be dearly missed by her husband and best friend of 35 years, Robert (Bob) Fox; her former spouse and friend, Denver Freeman of Gypsum; her son, James (Sue) Freeman of Sandusky; step-daughter Kristy Fox (Lonnie) Foster of Marion; three grandchildren, Paul Freeman Mount of Columbus; Steven Foster of Marion; Heather Foster of Marion; two great-grandchildren, Jarryn and Cole Foster; her nine sisters and three brothers; several nieces and nephews; and special friend Sue Brown.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Millisor of Marion; sister Marguerite White of Caledonia.

Diane was a member of the V.F.W. post 3313, and the American Legion post 162 where she was employed for the last 18 years. She attended St. Mary Church.

Diane’s heart was full of love, and passion, and always giving; her soul was full of good, and understanding, and never judging.  Diane without a doubt has many dear and close friends. She had a passion for cooking and baking as she always had something on the stove or in the oven. She also enjoyed gardening, spending time with her dog, Molly, and decorating for the different holidays. For many years Diane and Bob hosted a fourth of July party that brought family and friends together, for a night of good food, entertainment, and many great memories.

Friday she earned her angel wings, and flew from this earth with the grace of a butterfly.

Family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors.  A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2011 in the funeral home with Deacon Dwight Larcomb celebrating services.  Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to either of the American Cancer or Diabetes Associations.
