Richard Donald McPeek, age 79, of Edison, Ohio passed away in his home on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at 5:55 AM.
He was born in Butler, Ohio on January 18, 1936.
His father; Lloyd E. McPeek, his mother; June Marie Chubbs McPeek, and his step mother; Virginia Hickman McPeek all preceded him in death.
On May 29, 1958 Richard married the former Phyllis L. Garverick in Chesterville, Ohio and she preceded him in death on August 18, 1996 in Columbus, Ohio.
He was employed with the Sims Fertilizer Co.,a division of Landmark Corp, for over 30 years before his retirement. He also worked for a short time with United Telephone Co.
Richard is survived by two daughters; June Marie (Robert E.) Patlow of Cardington, OH. and Debbie (Preston) Pitts of Perry, FL., three brothers; Joe (Sandy) Hickman of Caledonia, OH., Dick (Charise) Hickman of Kansas City, KS., and Kenny (Audrey) Atherton of Mt. Vernon, OH., two sisters; Mary (Charles) Temple of Bellefontaine, OH. and Sarah (Virgil) Stamper of Olive Hill, KY., eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Thursday, July 30, 2015, from 2:00 – 3:00 PM. A graveside service will be held in the Bryn Zion Cemetery on Thursday at 3:30 PM.
