Charles F. White, age 75, of Caledonia passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015, at 5:28 PM in the Marion General Hospital.
He was born in Rowlesburg, West Virginia on January 11, 1940 to Thomas E. and Katherine (Dixon) White.
On July 30, 1960 in East Aurora, New York, Charles married the former Nancy Lou Schildwaster and she survives in Caledonia.
He served in the U.S. Army and in 1986 retired as a Captain with the Marion City Fire Department where he had been employed for 26 years.
Surviving are a son; James (Rita) White of Marion, OH., two daughters; Diana (Larry) Brooks of Caledonia, OH. and Terri (Marshall) Casto of Marion, OH., two brothers; Richard (Byrldene) White and Kirk (Sandy) White both of Marion, OH., four sisters; Betty Christian of Delaware, OH., Karen White of Marion, OH., Ruth (George) Carpenter of Marion, OH., and Celia White of Pensicola, FL., four grandchildren; Brittany Brooks, Autumn Brooks, Austin White, and Courtney White.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM in the funeral home with burial to follow in the Caledonia Cemetery. Military rites will be preformed by the Marion County Veterans Council.
