Pamela E. “Pam” Abrams, age 56, of Marion, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 28, 2015.
On January 27, 1959, Pam was born in Anstead, West Virginia, the daughter of the late James H. Chapman and Betty A. (Blume) Chapman. Losing her mother at a young age, she was raised by her father and step mother, Jan Chapman.
When Pam was 17 years old, she moved from West Virginia, to Marion, Ohio. For many years she worked at the Whirlpool Corporation, and she also had worked as a home health aid.
A very creative person, Pam was a craft fanatic, making anything and everything. She enjoyed knitting, working with leather, painting, photography, and crocheting “amazing” blankets for her family.
Having a huge heart for animals, Pam loved her dog and many birds she’s had over the years. She also was very giving to any cause involving animals.
She will be missed by her three children: Jennifer (Fred Blevins) Jennings, Daniel (Jennifer Welsh) Abrams, both of Marion, and Terry (Ted Rodriguez) Abrams of Texas; five grandchildren: Jason, Jordain, and Jozef Jennings, and Daniel Jr. and Jenna Abrams; step mother, Jan Chapman; a brother, Thomas (Sherry) Chapman; three step siblings: Connie, Christine and Danny Pierce; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her family will greet friends from 4 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 6th, at the Gunder/Hall & Snyder Funeral Home, 347 W. Center St., Marion.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with unexpected expenses, and all additional funds they receive will go to care for animals. They may be sent to the funeral home.
