Stephen G. “Steve” Gantt age 62 of Marion, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at his residence.
He was born September 29, 1952 in Marion, Ohio to Clifford A. and Shirley J. (Brake) Gantt.
On September 29, 1998 he married Teresa A. (McKinniss).
Steve was a U.S. Army Veteran, was a hard worker his entire life and had a love for Life, Women and Harley’s.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Gantt of Marion, OH., his wife, Teresa Gantt of Marion, OH., his five children, Kimberly (Dana) Harriman of Morral, OH., Steven Ray (Evelyn) Meachem of Marion, OH., Heather (Jimmy Jr.) Wood of Marion, OH., Lynae Gantt of Marion, OH., Stevi Gantt of Marion, OH., 11 grandchildren, Tesla Smith, Skylar Harriman, Katie Harriman, Paige Harriman, Crystal Meachem, Steven Meachem II, Dylan Wood, Lacey Wood, Tristen Knight, Taylor Knight, Brooklyn Knight, two great grandchildren, Kalyn Marie Bullion and Garrett Roberts, one brother, David (Paula) Gantt of Marion, OH., two sisters, Trina (James) Coldiron of Marion, OH., Judith (Randy) Hunsicker of Mount Victory, OH. and several nieces and nephews.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Gantt, two brothers, Phillip and Matthew, two grandsons, Brandon Bullion, Jarred Bullion, and his mother in law, Betty J. McKinniss.
Visitation for Steve will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2015 from 10 – 12 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 12:30 PM at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Pastor Dwight Hord officiating. Marion County United Veterans Council will conduct Military Honors.
