Freda Mae Pennington, age 83, of Marion passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at 8:35 AM in the Heartland of Marion.
She was born in Lawrence County, Ohio to the late Joseph Clifford and Ollie (Brumfield) Eastham on January 5, 1932.
Freda married Clarence W. Pennington Sr. in Marion, Ohio on January 23, 1948 and he preceded her in death on October 15, 1992 in Marion.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who truly enjoyed watching the Christian Broadcasters on TV39, the OSU Buckeyes, and Tiger Woods.
Freda is survived by a son; Rodney L. (Cindy) Pennington of Galena, OH., a sister; Wilma Jean Aldridge of Marion, OH., three granddaughters; Angela Allen, Julia Smith, & Andrea Schertzer, three great grandsons; Brandon Rinehart, Justin Mohran, & Julien Ladd, three great granddaughters; Gracie DeGood, Bailey Schertzer, & Whitney Schertzer, and three great great grandchildren; Dezmind Mohran, Lexi Mohran, & Addison Rinehart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son; Clarence “Clancey” Pennington Jr., one sister; JoAnn Shank, and four brothers; Joseph Clifford, Chester Raymond, Clyde Woodrow, & Alfred Cleveland Eastham.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM. A graveside service will be held in the Grand Prairie Cemetery on Tuesday at 12:00 Noon conducted by Pastor Dean Fulks.
