Ellen Ruth Stover, age 81, of Marion passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at 11:30 PM in the Kobacker House, Columbus.
She was born on September 3, 1934 in Victor, West Virginia to the late Esmond and Elizabeth (Hess) Billups.
Ellen married James Herbert Stover in Montgomery, W.VA. on May 28, 1952 and he preceded her in death on November 16, 1994 in Marion.
She truly loved her children, grandchildren, enjoyed facebook, and CNN. Ellen retired after 16 years as an inspector for Wyandot Popcorn.
She is survived by her longtime companion of 18 years; Jay Yarger, two sons; James Herbert (Brenda) Stover Jr. & Ronald W. (Cathy) Stover both of Marion, OH., four daughters; Cathy (Andy) Berry of Marion, OH., Linda (Tom) Massey of Marion, OH., Sheila (Galen) Rife of Columbus, OH., & Donna (Merle) Coon of Marion, OH., four brothers; Larry (Martha) Billups of Oak Hill, W.VA., Elmer (Pandora) Billups of Summersville, W.VA., Danny Billups of Ramsey, W.VA., & Scott (Kay) Billups of Strongsville, OH., two sisters; JoAnn (Frank) Novak of Reynoldsburg, OH., & Barbara Hinkle of Dublin, OH., 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son; Allen Lee Stover, three brothers; Darrell, Lowell, & Jerry Billups, and one sister; Alice Lovett.
No visiting hours will be observed. A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date with burial to follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery.
