Barbara A. Peacock, age 77, of Marion passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015, at 3:17 AM in the Kobacker House, Columbus.
She was bornĀ on April 18, 1938 in Marion, Ohio to the late Burton A. and Margaret (Danner) Riley.
Barb married James K. Peacock on May 6, 1960 in Marion and he preceded her in death on June 26, 2011 in Marion.
She was a 1960 graduate of Harding High School, past President of Seamates Auxillary of the Marion Power Squadron, member of Elks Lodge 889, and the Eastern Star.
Barbara was employed as a graphic artist and typist for the Marion Star for over 24 years before her retirement.
The lifelong Marion resident is survived by three daughters; LuAnn (Tim) Butler of Marion, OH., Jamie (Joe DaGrava) Peacock of Senecaville, OH., & Rebecca (Willie) Peacock-Creagh of Columbus, OH., two brothers; Bruce (Anne) Riley of Wauseon, OH, & Burton Riley of Akron, OH., two sisters; Beverly (Tom) Cholley of Westerville, OH. & Belinda (Tony) Spasoff of Florida, two sister-in-laws; Pam Wood of Florida & Marla (Tom) Boblenz of Marblehead, OH., eight grandchildren; Trevor, Zion, Noah, Michael, Adam, Tiffany, Seth, & Bodean, ten great grandchildren; James, Mason, Trinity, Hunter, Braxtyn, Cadyn, Riley, McKennan, Grayson, & Lauralai, one step granddaughter; Amy, and numerous nieces & nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by a grandson; Travis, a step grandson; Timothy Jr., and two brothers; Gene Arthur & Byron Riley.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Thursday, October 8, 2015, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. Pastor Dwight Hord will conduct the funeral service in the funeral home on Friday at 1:00 PM with burial to follow in the Marion Cemetery.
