Glenn E. Robinson age 86 of Marion, Ohio passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Heartland of Marion.
He was born July 24, 1924 in Marion, Ohio to the late Frank C. and Mary A. (Lily) Robinson.
On January 18, 1947 he married Virginia N. (Mosher) Robinson, they just celebrated sixty-four years of marriage.
Glenn graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1942, and was employed at the New York Central Railroad for fourteen years, and retired after twenty-eight years as a clerk at the U.S. Post Office in Marion and Columbus, Ohio.
He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and Marion Masonic Lodge #70 F& AM, and just recieved his 65 year pin. He also was a Big Band enthusiast, especially Glenn Miller, was an avid model railroader and loved his Ohio State Buckeyes.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Robinson of Marion, OH., three sons, Terry L. (Judy) Robinson of Wayne, OH., Craig E. (Linda) Robinson of Marion, OH., Chris A. (Arleen) Robinson of Powell, OH., ten grandchildren, Eric Robinson, Emily Kauffman, Jonathan Robinson, Jeremy Robinson, Benjamin Robinson, Elizabeth Lanker, Julie Robinson, Tim Robinson, Kevin Robinson, Kyle Robinson, sixteen great grandchildren, brother, Dale Robinson of Marion, OH., sister, Mary Claire Brewer of Marion, OH., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Glenn will be held Friday, February 25, 2011 @ 1 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home, with Dr. Richard Farmer and Pastor Jeremy Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery. Visitation for family amd friends will be Thursday, February 24, 2011 from 6 – 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
