Margie Saull of Prospect has been selected as September Republican of the Month by the Marion County GOP Central and Executive Committee.
Saull was born in Delaware and graduated from Buckeye Valley High School, and has lived in Marion County for over 40 years. Her elementary education degree is from The Ohio State University in 1974 and also a Master’s degree in 1979. In 2010, she retired from teaching after 35 years with the Marion City Schools and a year at Buckeye Valley Local School.
Active in the community, Saull holds memberships in the Marion City-County Retired Teachers, George Washington Retired teachers, Junior Service Guild, Daughters of the American Revolution where she is local American history chairman and State Celebrate America! chairman, and volunteers with Mobile Meals, Palace Theatre, and a Harding Home guide. She holds a life membership in The Ohio State University Alumni Association, and attends Green Camp United Methodist Church.
She is a GOP Precinct Committeeman for Green Camp Township and is treasurer of the Marion County Republican Club and a member of the Marion County GOP Women’s Club.
Saull was an honorary delegate to the Tampa 2012 Republican National Convention, and she along with her husband, Fred, were co-chairs of the Romney/Ryan 2012 campaign as well as the 2014 Dave Yost Auditor of State campaign. She is a graduate in 2014 JoAnn Davidson Leadership Institute.
Saull and her husband have two grown sons.
