Donna Mae Baldauf, age 86, of Marion passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at 10:05 PM in the Country View of Sunbury in Sunbury, Ohio.
She was born on September 2, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio to Frank and Marguerite (Garvin) Cahill.
Donna married the late Richard R. Baldauf in Marion, Ohio on her birthday in 1949 and he preceded her in death on January 18, 1988 in Marion.
She was a graduate of Harding High School, a member of American Legion Post #162, and volunteered her time at the Marion General Hospital. Donna especially enjoyed traveling, shopping for antiques, and playing bingo. She was known as “Mrs. B” at the Oak Street Elementary School where she was employed as a cook for many years, retiring in 1989.
She is survived by a son; Jeff A. (Tina M.) Baldauf of Galena, OH., a daughter; Deborah A. Baldauf of Marion, OH., three grandchildren; Kristen Baldauf of Chicago, IL., Nicholas Baldauf of Dayton, OH., & Samuel Baldauf of Galena, OH., a sister-in-law; Nellie Cahill of Marion, OH., and several nieces & nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 39 years; Richard, two brothers; Howard R. & Robert L. Cahill, and two sisters; Betty S. Owen & Joann Bell.
Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Friday, November 6, 2015, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 AM with burial to follow in the Marion Cemetery. Rev. Gail Green will be officiating.
