William “Bill” E. Arnt, Sr., age 79 of Marion, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at his home.
Bill was born on September 23, 1936 in Marion, the son of the late James Smith and Hazel Burns.
Bill was a “jack of all trades”, always busy doing something. He enjoyed going to auctions and flea markets, going anywhere we he could “wheel and deal”. He very much loved his family and attended church at Emmanuel Baptist.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gladys Joan (Montgomery) Arnt; his children: Teresa (Ken) Falen, William (Sonja) Arnt, Jr., Larry (Lisa) Arnt, Vickie Arnt and George W. Arnt; 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Bill is preceded in death by his children Bethany Dunn and Ronnie Arnt; siblings: Gene Arnt, Chuck Arnt, John Ryan, Lucille Akom and JoAnne Miller.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center St., Marion from 10AM to 12Noon; Funeral services will immediately follow at 12Noon with Pastor Ronald Douglas officiating; Burial will be in Agosta Cemetery, New Bloomington.
