On December 3, 2015 at 6:30 in the evening Marjorie June Whitehead Schmidt of Marion died at Riverside Methodist Hospital Columbus, Ohio surrounded by loved ones. Marjorie was 94.
She was born June 17, 1921 to Mabel and Robert Whitehead.
She graduated in 1939 from Marion Harding High School.
On August 31, 1940 she married Dale Miller Schmidt also of Marion at First Presbyterian Church of Newport, Ky. They had been married 56 years at the time of his death April 21, 1996.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter Sharon Klinefelter (Lowell) of Canton, son Robert (Deborah) Schmidt, of Waldo; Jason (Anne) Klinefelter of Massillon; Ryan (Tracie) Klinefelter of Powell; Joshua (Nicole) of Powell; Aaron Klinefelter of Canton; Jacob (Sherri) Schmidt of New California; Lucas Schmidt of Upper Arlington, Tyler Schmidt of Dublin; sister Nancy Diane Dilsaver of Marion. Her much loved great-grand children Nicholas, Lauren, Allison, Tristan, Bryce, Maxwell, and Macy. And a much anticipated new great-grandson in the spring. She was preceded in death by husband, Dale; her parents; sisters Peggy and Melba Jean.
Friends may call at Boyd-Born Funeral Home 122 West Columbia St. Marion, OH Wednesday December 9, 4-7. Funeral service will be Thursday December, 10 at 11:00 with Fr. Robert W. Kaylor officiating. Burial will be immediately following at Marion Cemetery.
