James D. “Jim” Lester, 54, of Marion

James D. “Jim” Lester, age 54, of Marion, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at The Ohio State University Medical Center.  Jim was born May 4, 1961 in Marion, Ohio to the late Arnold and Mary Evelyn (Pierce) Lester.  James graduated from Elgin High School in 1979.  Jim was self-employed and enjoyed working in his garage and tinkering with anything. Jim married Karen Scott on January 13, 2002 who survives.

Jim is survived by step-sons, Josh Scott of Marion and Jonathan Scott of Indianapolis, IN, grandchildren, Rebecca Ariel Scott, Ellen Mae Scott and Olive Rose Scott; brothers, Charles (Joey) Lester of New Bloomington and Jack Lester of Marion; sisters, Carol Lester of Marion, and Marilyn (Ralph) Clevenger of Bucyrus; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder on Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 2 until 4 pm with a 4 pm funeral service with Pastors Jeff Bush and Brian Keeran officiating.

Memorial donations may be made in Jim’s honor to The American Cancer Society.
