Vera L. Albright, 75, of Marion

Vera L. Albright, age 75, of Marion, passed away peacefully Friday, January 15, 2016 at home.

Vera was born June 14, 1940 in Marion, Ohio to the late Robert C. and Mary L. (Rutherford) Moderwell and was a proud graduate of Marion Harding High School’s class of 1958.

Vera formerly worked at Fullfillment, River Valley Schools as a cook, and spent most of her working life at GTE in their coin center.

Vera married Fred Leonard Albright on November 7, 1958, who preceded Vera in death on March 15, 2005. Together they were lifelong members of Fite Memorial Baptist Church and Marion Fly Wheels and enjoyed Jam Sessions in New Bloomington.

Vera was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who lead by an example of love, selflessness, and a willingness to help all those in need.  Vera spent many hours with the Hampton Woods Ladies playing dominoes on Tuesday nights, eating out, and attended Five-Nights on Campus at The Ohio State University at Marion. She was always ready to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren who affectionately called her GG.

Vera will be missed by son, Tim (Marcia) Albright of Morral; daughter, Amy (Steven) Fisher of Marion; grandchildren, Patrick (Monica) Albright, Ryan (Kellie) Albright, Aaron (Angel) Albright, and Cassie McCardle; great-grandchildren, Evan, Faith and Ellie; brothers, Bobby and Jack J Moderwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Vera was predeceased by husband, Fred Albright and brother, Robert C. Moderwell.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home from 4 until 7PM.  A funeral service will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Fite Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor David Carlyle officiating.  Burial will follow at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens.  Memorial donations may be made in Vera’s honor to Fite Memorial Baptist Church.
