Reverend Arnold George WulffReverend Arnold George Wulff was called to his heavenly home on March 2nd, 2016.

Rev. Wulff was born on July 20th, 1923 in Augusta, KY to Rev. Robert and Beatha Wulff.

He graduated from Capital University in 1946 and from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in 1948.

He married Ruth Rebber in June of 1947.

Rev. Wulff served at Peace Lutheran church in Evansville, IN before moving to southern Illinois to serve dual parishes at Zion Lutheran church in Gillispie, IL and St. John’s Lutheran church in Dorchester, IL.  He also served for 21 years at St. Paul’s Lutheran church in Forest Park, IL before moving to Marion, OH to serve as Associate Pastor of Emanuel Lutheran Church.

Rev. Wulff was a member of the Capital University Chapel Choir while attending Capital University.  He was also a member of the Emanuel Lutheran church choir after moving to Marion.  He was involved in many community organizations.  It was always his joy to help those in need.

He and his wife, Ruth, loved to travel.  They made numerous trips to Europe and were blessed to be able to visit the Holy Land.  Together, they visited every state in the United States including Hawaii and Alaska.  He was a generous individual who loved his family and was passionate about his ministry and caring for his congregational members.  He was an active and dedicated member of Emanuel Lutheran church after retiring.

Rev. Wulff is survived by his wife, Ruth (Rebber)Wulff; children, Dr. Jonathan Paul Wulff(Cynthia) of Eaton Rapids, MI, Mary Ann Wulff Lynn(Lawrence) of Marion, OH and Donna Marie Wulff Scott(James) of Washington C.H., OH, brother, Werner Robert Wulff(Marilyn)of Auburn, WA, Sister-in-law, Geraldine Wulff, Sioux Falls, S.D. and Brother-in Law, Julius Kaduk of San Diego, CA.  He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his Father, Rev. Robert Wulff and Mother, Beatha Gugel Wulff, and two Brothers, Gilbert Wulff and Richard Wulff.

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, March 6th from 2-4 PM at the Emanuel Lutheran Church, 241 South Prospect St., with service following at 4:30 PM.  Graveside service will be held Monday morning at 10:00 AM at Marion Cemetery. The Boyd-Born Funeral Home is honored to be handling the arrangements for the family.

Memorials can be made to Emanuel Lutheran church Music fund or Trinity Lutheran Seminary.

The family would like to thank Joyce’s Angels and Marion General Hospice for their wonderful care.  Rev. Wulff was able to be cared for in his home because of their love and dedication.
