Blanche L. Fillinger, 85 of Richwood died Friday evening, April 1, 2016 at Heartland of Marysville.
She was born August 11, 1930 in Hardin County to the late John and Olga Marie (Phelps) Friermood. She was also preceded in death by a brother, George Friermood and her husband, Robert Henry Fillinger, whom she married on June 20, 1948, and who died August 16, 1993.
A 1948 graduate of Mt. Victory High School, she was a hard-working farm wife for most of her life. She was a fan of Ohio State football and basketball. Blanche was a great cook and loved taking care of her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Larry (Linda) Fillinger, Richwood; John (Cindy) Fillinger, Hilliard; eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Mary Alice Dyer, Belle Center.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor Joe Rhea officiating. Burial will follow in Byhalia Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home in Richwood.
