Virginia Belle Poorman Conley, age 94 of Marion, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday evening April 13, 2016.
Virginia was born on November 3, 1921 in Kenova, West Virginia, the daughter of William Charles and Margaret (Fuller) VanDyke.
Virginia worked for many years at Fulfillment Corporation of Marion and was also a devoted homemaker to her cherished family. She was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Marion. Virginia also enjoyed her “family” at Hampton Woods, playing cards and visiting with many dear friends.
She is survived by her children: Jana (John) Bartram of Marion and Maggi Poorman of Houston, TX; step-daughter Johnna (Terry) Chase; grandchildren: Steve Bartram, Jennifer (John) Lamb and Lisa (Dean) Bartram-Passons; great grandchildren: David and Andrew Lamb and Lincoln Passons; step-grandchildren: Brian, Kevin, David, Nancy and Eric; 14 step-great grandchildren; her sister Billie Magilavy of Akron and numerous nieces and nephews.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents and her husbands: Walter D. Poorman and John Conley.
Visitation will be held on Sunday April 17, 2016 at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center St., Marion from 2PM to 5PM; Funeral services will be held Monday at First Presbyterian Church, 143 South Prospect St., Marion at 11AM with Pastor Rob Howard officiating; Burial will be held privately at a later date in Marion Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ohio Health Hospice or the First Presbyterian Church.
