Von Anthony Thatcher, age 48 of Marion, passed away on Tuesday May 10, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
Von was born on September 19, 1967 in Marion, the son of William A. and Donna (Brown) Thatcher. Von attended Harding High School and graduated in the class of 1985.
Von was a gifted musician, playing guitar. He belonged to different bands that played throughout the Marion area. He also took his talent and shared it with others by teaching many to learn and play the guitar. Von also was an avid Ohio State fan, cheering on and enjoying all kinds of OSU sporting events.
He is survived by his beloved mother Donna Thatcher; his devoted sister Deana Thatcher; nephew of Mag Capps, Mary Scholosser and Richard Brown; he is also survived by many cousins.
Von is preceded in death by his father William A. Thatcher and his aunt Pat Brown and uncle Roy Brown.
Visitation will be held on Saturday May 14, 2016 at the Gunder/Hall & Snyder Funeral Home, 347 West Center St., Marion from 10:30AM to 12Noon; Funeral services will follow at 12Noon.
