John Micheal “Tailgate” Coleman, age 42 of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on Friday May 13, 2016 from a motor vehicle accident.
John was born on September 1, 1973 in Mount Gilead, the son of Donald Coleman and the late Mindi (Greenawalt) Suydan. John attended Highland High School as well as Tri-Rivers. John was a dedicated truck driver, proudly driving for A.D. Transport.
John was truly one of a kind. He was not afraid to “go against the grain” and ruffle a few feathers along the way. One example of that is the fact that he was a Michigan fan in the heart of Buckeye Nation. John never stood idly by. He filled his time by riding his motorcycle, belonging to the Geezer Gliders. He enjoyed singing anything country, he tailored clothing and most recently took up the art of quilting. He enjoyed all kinds of art, the outdoors, but most especially his family. He worked hard to provide for them and his love and legacy will live on through them.
He is survived by his beloved wife Danielle Coleman; his devoted children: Austin, Jordan, Micheala, Tyler and Chelsea Coleman; his siblings: Rick (Holly) Coleman, Jessica (Mike) Young, Christopher (Candice) Coleman and Amanda (Emmy) Yunker; sisters-in-law: Lori (Will) Robinson and Jessica (Steve) Bosh; his father and step-mother: Donald (Cheryl) Coleman; parents-in-law: Deborah and Nik Burton and a host of friends.
Memorial services will be held on Friday May 20, 2016 at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 North Main St., and Mount Gilead at 2PM.
If so desired, donations may be made to John’s family or to Motorcycle Riders Foundation Awareness & Education at www.mrfae.org
