The MARMET / METRICH Drug Task Force has announced the conclusion of a five month long drug trafficking investigation as of April 2, 2010. The task force says the investigation has led to eight arrests, with several more pending.
Arrested were:
- Christopher Bates, currently incarcerated in state prison, 23-years-old, two counts Aggravated Drug Trafficking
- Erik Hitchcock, of 259 Libby Lane, 31-years-old, two counts Aggravated Drug Trafficking
- Aaron Hatfield, of 300 Libby Lane, 49-years-old, two counts Aggravated Drug Trafficking
- Kyle Franklin, of 327 Libby Lane, 23-years-old, two counts Aggravated Drug Trafficking
- Candie Steele, of 327 Libby Lane, 20-years-old, two counts Aggravated Drug Trafficking
- Kyle Knickerbocker, of 311 Libby Lane, 23-years-old, two counts Aggravated Drug Trafficking
- Charles Michael, of 325 Libby Lane, 21-years-old, two counts Aggravated Drug Trafficking
- Lance Ross, of 216 Jefferson St., 23-years-old, one count Drug Trafficking
Also arrested in during this investigation was Justin Kinsey, 239 Libby Lane, for failure to appear and a warrant for operating a vehicle while under the Influence.
This investigation continues and MARMET / METRICH will issue updated information as more arrests are made.
The MARMET-METRICH Drug Task Force consists of detectives from both the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Marion City Police Department.
