Francis Marion Hartley, age 78 of Edison, Ohio passed away on Friday Morning December 2nd, 2011 at home.
He was born June 24th, 1933 in Asheville, Ohio as the son of the late Guy and Flora Elizabeth (Marion) Hartley.
Francis was a former member of the Ohio Air National Guard. He worked most of his life as a Farmhand for John Courtwright and Dean & Gary Pangborn.
He loved animals and nature in general. He enjoyed hunting arrowheads and spending time with his grandchildren.
On August 24, 1953 he married Peggy Nicholson and she survives him at home. He is also survived by his daughter Patricia (Mike) Aston of Labelle, Florida. His three grandsons; Michael, Brian and Jason Martin. His granddaughter Tracy Rank and her fiancé Jerry McGregor of Galion. Five great grandchildren; Chad D. Rank Jr., Kayla M. Roberts, Heaven Leigh Martin, Tayla Raine and Autumn Martin. Francis also leaves behind his brother Terry Hartley of Ada, Ohio and his sister Rebecca McMullen of Rushylvania.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Joy Lee Martin, his grandson Steven and one sister.
Funeral services for Francis will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday December 5th, 2011 at the Timson Allen & Melroy Funeral Home in Caledonia with Rev. Eddie Colegrove officiating. Interment will follow in Iberia Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 until the time of service.
