Thomas A. Trimner, age 66, of Marion died peacefully, but unexpected at home, Sunday, December 11, 2011.
He was born October 25, 1945 in Bellevue, OH. to the late Robert W. and Ruth Marie (Kramer) Trimner.
Tom served in the U.S. Navy from 1963 thru 1966 with an Honorable Discharged. He then worked as a corrections officer for the Ohio Department of Corrections until his retirement. Following retirement and medical complications he became a Disabled American Veteran.
He was a proud member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Knight of Columbus, and previously a certified Hostage Negotiator for O.D.R.C. He was a volunteer for Big Brothers and Nashville Song Writer Association where he was a song writer, singer, ventriloquist and entertainer. Thomas was also a Right to Life supporter and was a life time member of the NRA.
Survivors include two sisters Anastasia M. (Steven) Mull of Marion, Mary J. (Timothy) Hardgrove of Morral, OH, three brothers Robert G. (Carolyn) Trimner of Marion, Dennis R. Trimner of Marion, John M. (Christa) Trimner of Mt. Perry, OH., and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, December, 19, 2011, 1 PM at St. Mary Church, 251 N. Main St. Marion, OH. with Father Michael Nimocks officiating and concelebrant Father Denis Kagozi. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2011, 2 PM at St. Mary Cemetery with Grave Side services conducted by Marion County United Veterans Council.
