Robert L. Wilkinson, age 60, of Perrysburg, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at his home surrounded by his loving family after losing his battle with cancer.
On December 2, 1951, Bob was born in Zanesville, Ohio, the son of the late Albert and Margaret Wilkinson and he graduated from Marion Harding High School.
Everyone that knew Bob, knew his great passion in life….The game of golf. He played every chance he got.
For the last 37 years, Bob worked as a Sprinkler Fitter and he also was the co-owner of Premier Fire Protection for the last 14 years.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Sue; daughters: Kristine (Brad) Rovtar and Cara (Dana) Gamble; step children: Matthew Kropf, Mandy (Chris) Gould, and Michael Kropf; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; a brother, Bill (Lee Ann) Wilkinson; and 1 aunt, 1 uncle, and nephews.
Including his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Tim Wilkinson.
Services for Bob were observed privately by his family at the Grand Prairie Cemetery in Marion.
His family would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to the staff at The Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg for their excellent care and support through this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
