Marion Bank Robbed

The Marion County Sheriff's Office is investigating a robbery at Commercial Savings Bank on Barks Road on Friday. The robbery report came into the sheriff's office at just after noon.

The male suspect entered the bank at 195 Barks Road West and displayed a note to a bank teller and he then fled the area on foot. No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect is a white male, approximately five feet eight inches tall, and between 160 and 170 pounds. He was wearing a white jacket with grey colored horizontal stripes along with a stripe up both sleeves and the stripes are similar to a plaid pattern. The suspect was also wearing dirty blue jeans, dirty black and white shoes, and a purple stocking cap with a mauve colored stripe at the bottom of the stocking cap. He had a small amount of facial hair described as a five o’clock shadow and large framed glasses with thick lenses. The suspect is believed to be in his late twenties or early thirties.
