Anna J. Redmon Harper age 79 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Saturday December 31, 2011 at Heartland of Marion.
She was born December 31, 1932 in Marion to the late Alfred W. and Florence V. (Porter) Pence.
Anna was first married to Gerald Redmon on April 20, 1951 and he preceded her in death in September of 1976. She then married Herbert Claire Harper on May 20, 1978 and he survives in Marion.
Anna was a member of Emanuel Reformed Church, The Women's Guild, A part time care giver with American Nursing, a loving mother and grandmother, and she truly loved her cat, Missy.
Anna is also survived by a daughter and four sons; Stephanie (James) Hutchings of Marion, Mike (Pam) Redmon of Kenton, Ohio, Mark Redmon of Nevada, Ohio, Brent (Karla) Harper and Greg Harper both of Marion. Twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
Besides her parents and first husband, Anna was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, a brother and two sisters.
There will be calling hours for Anna on Thursday January 5, 2012 at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home from 4 to 8 P.M. There will also be a Public Graveside Service at the Prospect Cemetery on Tuesday January 17, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Melvin Bowling.
