Rodney E. Ballard age 54 of Marion, Ohio passed away surrounded by his loving wife and family, Sunday, January 1, 2012 at his residence.
He was born September 23, 1957 in Marion, Ohio to the late James R. and Betty M. (Gattshall) Ballard.
Rodney was owner/operator of Rodeney's Auto Repair for 20 years. He previously worked as a welder at Rex Welding and Slobb Brothers Welding.
He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years Pam A. Ballard of Marion, six children, Kathy M. Newsome of Marion, Angela M. Ballard of Marion, Julie A. (Curtis) Newsome of Marion, Rondha M. (Rocky) Malone of Marion, Rodney E. Ballard II of Zanesville, Taylor A. Ballard of Marion, eight grandchildren, two brothers, Dennis Ballard of Marion, Danny Ballard of Bucyrus, two sisters, Debra (Elmer) Russell of Marion, Sheila Jones of Marion and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rodney was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Julie A. Ballard.
Visitation for Rodney will be held Friday, January 6, 2012 from 4 – 7 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Friday, January 6, 2012 at 7 PM with Richard McClinsey officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
