Harry L. Kline Jr. age 87 of Marion, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at his residence.
He was born November 26, 1924 in Prospect, Ohio to the late Harry L. and Mary V. (Anderson) Kline Sr.
On May 7, 1946 in Greenup, KY., he married Beulah M. (Hesson).
Harry was a U.S. Army Veteran during WWII was stationed in Italy and France, and was in the Battle Of Normandy where he received the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three Bronze Stars and the World War II Victory Medal.
Harry was employed over 40 years in Masonry with various companies around Marion, Glen Sand Masonry, William Patterson Masonry and Baldauf Constuction.
He was a member of V.F.W. Post #7201 and in his spare time he enjoyed watching the Price Is Right and playing the Ohio Lotto pick three everyday with his favorite number being 315. Harry was an avid gardener, fisherman and hunter especially turtle hunting and rabbit hunting with his sons and his favorite dog- Pete.
Harry is survived by his wife, Beulah Kline of Marion, his seven children, Kathy (Bill) Hardesty of Marion, Linda "Sue" VanVlerah of Marion, Russ (Marilyn) Kline of Marion, Harry L. "Hank" Kline III of Marion, Rocky L. Kline of Marion, Tim Kline of Marion, Dee (Rick) Saunders, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, one niece and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mary Louise Miley and one nephew.
Funeral Services for Harry will be held Saturday, January 21, 2012 @ 10 AM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Hord officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery with the Marion County Veterans Council conducting a military service. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, January 20, 2012 from 5 – 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
