Mary (VanHouten) Lutz, 73, of Marion passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 in Marion General Hospital.
Mary was born on December 28, 1938 to the late Harold and Etta Mae (Cook) VanHouten.
Mary married her husband, Richard Lutz in Liberty, Indiana on May 20, 1956. Richard preceded her in death on July 16, 2009. They lived in their home in Marion where they raised three children and enjoyed relaxing at their vacation home at Indian Lake.
She is survived by her children, Cathy Lutz of Marion, Carl (Tracy) Lutz of Marion, and Cary (Shelley) Lutz of Bucyrus; grandchildren, Dustin, Amanda, Kye (Jennifer), Andria (Jason), Caryssa, Harry, Caleb, Tabitha and Noah; great-grandchildren include Cassandra, Chase, Colten, Kaia, Tanner, Tyler, and Kira; and her puppies, Alli and Foozi.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother William VanHouten, one sister Mary Jane, and one grandchild Kathleen.
A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 10:30 am with Rev. Joe Sopher officiating in the Marion Cemetery.
