Paul A. Fields, age 86, formerly of LaRue, died Saturday February 25, 2012 at 6:00 PM at Kingston Residence of Marion.
He was born March 19, 1925 in LaRue, Ohio to the late S. Wilton and Ethel (Ledley) Fields.
On December 8, 1946 he married Dorothy A. Bauer and she survives.
Also surviving are daughters; Paula Ann (John) Roller, Nancy Jean Fields, and Jane Irene (Bart) Wolfe all three of Marion. Grandchildren; Matt (Becky) Roller, Ben (Veril) Roller and Beth (Mark) Reitler. Nine Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Grandson Jess W. Roller and brothers; Lawrence G., Keith, and Lester Fields and Damon Leffler.
Mr. Fields served in W W II in the U S Navy aboard the USS Oakland in the Pacific Theater. He worked for the Lingo Oil Company and Elgin Local Schools from which he retired in July 1984.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday February 28, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue. Minister will be the Rev. Tim Pasma. Burial in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday.
