Carolyn A. Burt age 67 of Marion passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
Born March 13, 1945 in Madison Tennessee to the late Carl and Ethel (Mosley) Mathes.
Carolyn was a Cashier for Whirlpool Corporation and a member of Oak Knoll Baptist Church.
On May 30, 1966 she married William Burt who survives in Marion.
Also surviving Carolyn are one son James (Jess) Burt of Las Vegas, Nevada, one daughter Margo (Jason) Tackett of Marion, one granddaughter Brittany Tackett of Marion, two sisters Gwin (Tom) Hicks of McMinnville, Tennessee and Lillian Parker of Nashville, Tennessee.
Preceding Carolyn in death are her parents and one brother Ernest Mathes.
Family will receive friends from Noon until 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. A private burial will be held at a later date.
