Rodney W. Martin, age 57, of Edison, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Morrow County Hospital in Mount Gilead.
Rodney is the son of the late Marvin G. and Ellen A. (Fletcher) Martin. Rodney was born on December 19, 1954 in Ashland, Ohio. He was educated in the Delaware Hayes School District, graduating in the Class of 1974.
He was an owner/operator that was leased on by K Line Logistics as a truck driver.
Rodney was first and foremost a family man. He planned and looked forward to family gatherings every year at Ryan’s restaurant and several cookouts throughout the year. He journaled family events as the family photographer and videographer. A Saturday tradition for Rodney and Adele was their morning shopping trip to Wal-Mart, he never missed it.
He never knew a stranger and was very generous and kind hearted with everyone he met. He enjoyed playing the piano and could be found enjoying the game, World of Warcraft.
Rodney will be remembered by his significant other Adele Bader; children: Danielle (John) Coleman, Jessica (Steve) Bosh and Lori Martin; 10 grandchildren; Siblings: Rocky (Connie) Martin and Sandy (Raymond) Young.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 N. Main St., Mount Gilead from 6PM to 8PM; Services celebrating Rod’s life will be Wednesday at the funeral home at 11AM; Burial will follow in Claridon Cemetery.
