Carol Ann Hanson age 55 passed away unexpectedly at Marion General Hospital Friday, March 30, 2012.
Born in Marion March 12, 1957 to the late Francis V. Haubert and Lucina E. (Eckert) Haubert who survives in Marion.
Carol was a graduate of Marion Harding High School, attended college at Ohio State Marion, and Marion Technical College. She was involved in Pep Club, track, concert choir, Spanish Club, Science Club, Class Potluck, Library Council, Mixed Chorus, Student Council, Girl's Glee Club, Athletic Manager, and Junior Achievement while in high school.
She was a member of Job's Daughters, worked as a Candy Striper at Marion General Hospital, worked at Dutch Pantry as a waitress, also worked at Dannies Pizza, and Circle K for 36 years. Carol was a very active member of the area PTAs, Harding Music Parents, member of M.A.P.E., treasurer of MAGC program, taught Junior Achievement at the elementary schools, and also enjoyed bowling.
Surviving Carol are her husband Larry Hanson who she married May 16, 1981, mother Lucina, three children Jennifer, Jeremy, James Hanson all of Marion, one grandson David Hanson, one brother Paul Haubert, brother in law Bruce Fleming. She is preceded in death by her father Francis, one brother David Haubert, and one sister Esther (Haubert) Fleming.
Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors with Ben Moore and Ron Warren officiating.
