Summer Italian Fest to Benefit United Way

The inaugural Rosa & Rocco’s Summer Italian Fest is scheduled from noon until midnight this Saturday, August 18, at Rosa & Rocco’s on McMahan Boulevard. All proceeds from the event will go to benefit United Way of Marion County.

Pam Stone, Executive Director of the United Way, said it’s a wonderful opportunity for the community.

“This event will be unique for the Marion area and will not only showcase a new and delicious local restaurant, but also benefit your local United Way,” Stone said.

“Our business was looking for a distinctive opportunity to offer a new charitable event to the community, and we immediately thought of United Way. Everything grew from there,” noted a Rosa & Rocco’s representative. “We’re thrilled to be able to partner with a trusted, local non-profit to present this new, fun event to our community.”

Feature menu items include spaghetti & meatballs, steakburgers, and corn on the cob.  Rosa & Rocco’s will also offer other Italian favorites in the restaurant, from chicken parmesan to lasagna. Budweiser beers Yuengling, Yuengling Light, Bud, and Bud Light will be available, as well as various wines.

Live entertainment, including Race Brown, the Pirates, Alan Reed, and the Caffeines, will be featured on stage for the event, in the large tent area.
