Ohioans Feel Canadian Earthquake

A Canadian earthquake rattled Ohio, from plaster cracking in Cleveland and buildings gently swaying in Cincinnati.

There were no immediate reports of any major damage in Ohio from Wednesday’s 1:41 p.m. quake with a magnitude of 5. It struck near the Ontario-Quebec border.

Downtown workers in Cincinnati reported feeling a slight shaking, and there were also reports of shaking in downtown Dayton and the nearby campus of Wright State University.

In Cleveland, James Haselden told the AP that his office in a renovated 19th century brick building swayed and he heard plastic cracking but saw no damage.
