Russell D. "Russ" Wickersham, age 84, of Caledonia, died Friday morning, August 3, 2012, at home surrounded by his loving family following a three year battle with cancer.

Larry G. Hanshaw age 68 of Prospect, Ohio, passed away Wednesday August 1, 2012 at Marion General Hospital. He was born July 16, 1944 in Marion to the late Charles Hanshaw and the late Willa Mae (Cox) Hanshaw Webster. On October 12, 1968 in Marion, Ohio, he married Theresa L. (Shumate) and she survives.

John N. (Jack) Leffler passed away Wednesday morning August 1, 2012 at Riverside Hospital, Columbus, Ohio after a long battle with heart, lung and kidney disease. Born in Marion June 20, 1928 to the late Catherine E. and Edwin Godfrey Leffler. Jack retired from Marion Correctional Institute in 1994. Jack was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church in Marion.

Pastor Richard John Thomas, of Marion and formerly of Pennsylvania, was resurrected to be with his Lord and Savior and be reunited with the love of his life, Anna Mae, early Monday morning, July 30, 2012, at the Community Healthcare Center just four weeks before his 100 birthday.

Donna Jo Spracklen, age 75, of LaRue, Ohio died Wednesday August 1, 2012 at 4:25 AM at Marion Manor Nursing Home.  She was born June 21, 1937 in Clarksburg, West Virginia to the late Virgil P. and Wilma (Rastle) Reed.  On December 19, 1959 she married Richard Spracklen and he survives.

Archie Edward Harford, age 84, of Forest, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.  Born September 3, 1927, in Lakeview, OH, to the late James and Rose (Toland) Harford, Archie was the youngest of 11 children.

Patricia L. “Patty” Lyons, age 84, of Mount Gilead, went to heaven to be reunited with her one true love, Francis, late Friday evening, July 6, 2012, at her residence following an extended illness.

Gerry S. Persinger, age 68, of Marengo, died Thursday, July 26, 2012, at his residence.

Born August 9, 1943 in Thornport, Ohio, Gerry was the son of the late R.B. Orval and Elizabeth Ladora (Rhineberger) Persinger.

Mary Ellen Kline, age 89 of Marion, entered into eternal peace Monday July 30, 2012 at Marion Manor. Mary Ellen was born on September 19th, 1922 as the daughter of the late Otto and Pearl (Weir) Gist. She was married to the late Jack Kline and was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Robert E. “Bob” Southard age 80 of Marysville, died Thursday evening July 26, 2012, at the Gables at Green Pastures in Marysville

He was born in Richwood on June 11, 1932 to the late Kelson “Kelly” and Virginia (Tilton) Southard, also predeceased by niece Rhonda Monroe Carter and nephew Rusty Hoover
