Alfred H. Coleman, age 90, the son of the late Anthony and Ida (Angel) Coleman died Saturday, May 26, 2012 at his home.  He was born on June 10, 1921 in Appomattax, VA.

On August 7, 1943 he was united in marriage to his childhood sweetheart, the love of his life, Lucille A. Taylor; who preceded him in death on November 17, 2009.

Rosa Della Owen, age 93, of Marion, Ohio, died Wednesday May 23, 2012 at 8:45 PM at Marion Manor Nursing Home.

She was born July 16, 1918 in Bowling Green Township, Marion County to the late Paul O. and Ivah (Trihaft) Owen.

Kenneth C. Frayer Sr., a lifelong resident and pillar of Marion County for 96 years, he died peacefully on Friday morning, May 25, 2012, at the Kingston Residence surrounded by his loving family.

On September 10, 1915, Ken was born in Pleasant Township of Marion County, one of eight children of the late John and Alice (Fetter) Frayer.  He graduated from Claridon High School in the Class of 1934.

Crystal L. Jolley, age 19, of Marion, OH passed away unexpectedly on May 22, 2012.

Crystal was born October 27, 1992 to Robert S. Jolly and Lisa M. Farmer in Marion, OH.

Harriet Alex age 81 of Marion, Ohio passed away Friday, May 25, 2012 at Marion Pointe Nursing Home.

She was born November 25, 1930 in Marion, Ohio to the late John and Eleni Alex.

Donald L. Cranston, age 70, of Marion, died Friday, May 25, 2012 at Heartland of Marion.

Donald was born April 11, 1942 to the late Dana L. Cranston and Mary M. (Wilkinson) Cranston in Marion, OH.

Paul “Dave” Holbrook, age 70, of Marion, OH died Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Heartland of Marion.

Paul was born September 19, 1941 to the late Forest G. Holbrook and Marcella Joyce (May) Holbrook in Louisa, KY.

Thomas L. Ettinger, age 75 of Martel passed away Monday evening May 21st 2012 in Galion Community Hospital after an extended illness.

He was born January 5th, 1937 in Galion as the son the late Robert T. & Ganelle (Goldsmith) Ettinger.

Rudy J. Armendinger, age 80, of Marion, died late Sunday evening, May 20, 2012, at the Kingston Residence following an extended battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

On June 29, 1931, Rudy was born in Covington, Kentucky, one of four children of the late Charles and Catherine (Walbrun) Armendinger.  As a family, they moved to Marion when he was only three years old, and there he would graduate from Marion Harding High School in the Class of 1949.

Melvin L. “Mel” Koehler, age 85, of Marion, died Thursday evening, May 17, 2012, at his residence with his loving wife, Ottis, by his side, following a short battle with cancer.

On October 20, 1926, Mel was born in a farm house in rural northeast Nebraska, the second of four sons of the late Edmont and Rose (Gansebom) Koehler.
