Rebecca Kay Honaker, age 57, of Marion, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning at Marion General Hospital.

She was born in Marion on March 17, 1954 to Raymond and Cora (Dowdy) Honaker and was a Customer Service Rep for Verizon Telephone until her retirement and attended Mayes Community Temple C.O.G.I.C.

Stephen McGinnis, age 63 of Marion, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at his home. He was born April 15, 1948 in Marion to the late Gilbert and Barbara (Justin) McGinnis.

On December 5, 1970 in Marion, he married the former Anetta J. Massie and she survives in Marion.

Rose Mary Bowden, age 60, of LaRue, died Tuesday January 17, 2012 at 8:42 PM at her residence. She went from the hands of her loving family into the arms of her Saviour Jesus Christ.

She was born June 4, 1951 in Marion, Ohio to the late Edgar and Lessie (Blanton) Briggs.

Harry L. Kline Jr. age 87 of Marion, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at his residence.

He was born November 26, 1924 in Prospect, Ohio to the late Harry L. and Mary V. (Anderson) Kline Sr.

On May 7, 1946 in Greenup, KY., he married Beulah M. (Hesson).

Wayland H. Temple, of Waldo, died peacefully on Monday morning, January 16, 2012, at the Marion General Hospital following a brief one week illness.  He was 91 years old.

Ernest C. Schrote, age 90 of rural Prospect, died early Tuesday morning, January 17, 2012 at Marion Manor, where he had been a beloved resident since May.

He was born January 25, 1921 in Marion County to the late Moses Samuel and Anna Christina (Rinnert) Schrote.

Mary E. Dorsey-Gills age 71 of Marion, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

She was born August 29, 1940 in Wilksville, Ohio to the late Carl L. and Esther M. (Foley) Thomas.

Gladys Mae Lagos age 91 of Marion, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Partners of Marion Care & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born August 28, 1920 in Marion, Ohio to the late John Delbert Thrush and Della Muriel (Porter) Thrush.

Timothy Mark Butler, Jr, 33, passed away unexpectedly at home, January 12, 2012.

He was born October 18, 1978 in Marion, OH to Sandra (Ray) Hunt and Timothy (LuAnn) Butler, Sr., all of Marion.

Ross Edward Carley, died at the Citrus Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Ross was born in Chicago in 1931, but grew up in California. He graduated from Palo Alto High School, and then served 4 years in the Navy during the Korean Conflict aboard the U.S.S. Kidd.
