Rita E. Colwell, age 50 of Richwood, died unexpectedly Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.

She was born June 30, 1960 in Galion to William and Jeanne (Totten) Jordan.  Her father preceded her in death, her mother survives in Ostrander.

Johney Franklin Kelley age 73 of Marion, Ohio passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Morning View Care Center of Marion.

He was born March 26, 1937 in Jackson Co., Ohio to the late James H. and Margaret B. (Fulk) Kelley.

Shelby R. Smith, age 71 of Marengo died unexpectedly Monday, September 20, 2010 at St. Ann’s Hospital following an automobile accident near Sunbury. 

He was born on September 23, 1938 in Knott County, Kentucky.  Formerly of Columbus, he had been a Marengo resident for the past 39 years.

Kathy L. Hoffman, age 40 of Caledonia passed away Tuesday evening September 21st , 2010 at Mount Carmel Medical Center in Columbus.

Kathy was born May 2, 1970 the daughter of the late Thomas Sr. and Beverly (Foreman) Woodard. Her mother survives her in Caledonia.

Marion Dale Moore, 62, Marion, died on Monday, September 20, 2010.

He was born in Marion to Marion E. and Bonnie J. (Weston) Moore on May 5, 1948.

Mary Ellen (Mayers) Townsend, age 86, of Marion died unexpectedly Monday night, September 20, 2010 at her home.

She was born in Richland Township, Marion County, on December 5, 1923, the daughter of the late Harley and Sadie (Fetter) Mayers.

Harriet Louise Waldo (Ouisie), 83 of Marion, OH and formerly of New Orleans LA died on Saturday, Sept. 18th at home.

She was born in New Orleans March 17, 1927 the daughter of Harry and Louise (Lapeyre) Waldo.

Sytha Cornwell Auxier, age 87, of Marion, Ohio, passed away Sunday September 19, 2010 at the Community Health Care Nursing Center.

She was born November 8, 1922 to the late Rev. Frank and Mary Bell (Williams) Combs, in Darfork, Ky. She was the last of nineteen children.

Richard D. Schnittker age 65 of Marion, Ohio passed away Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

He was born January 25, 1945 in Mobile, AL. to Elmer and Betty (Pelk) Schnittker.
On February 25, 1967 he married Nina M. (Stapleton) Schnittker.

Virginia A. Griffiths, also lovingly known as “What’s Her Name”, age 89, of Marion, is now singing with the angels in Heaven as she went to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening, September 15, 2010, at Marion General Hospital following a brief illness.

On August 6, 1921, Virginia was born in Marion, Ohio, one of three children of the late Troy and Marian (Grubb) Young.  She graduated from Marion Harding High School, Class of 1939.
