Shirley A. Fitzpatrick Ballinger, age 71, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, passed away Wednesday August 4, 2010 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

She was born August 28, 1938 in Marion, Ohio to the late Arthur and Ethelyn (Corbin) Fitzpatrick.

Louise C. Smith, age 85, of Marion passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at her Kingston Residence surrounded by her family.

She was born on May 20th 1925 in Marion, the daughter of the late Albert and Hilda (Rengert) Yeager.

Eddie F. Petersheim, age 28, of Hardin County, died suddenly Tuesday August 3, 2010.

He was born June 21, 1982 in LaRue, Ohio to Joni W. and Fannie Mae (Slabaugh) Petersheim of Marlette, MI.

Leonard Ray “Hoody” Hoodlet, age 74 of Richwood, died unexpectedly Tuesday, August 3, 2010.

He was born October 29, 1935 in Columbus to the late Clarence Wayne and Viola Eleanor (Patterson) Hoodlet.

Leonie "Lee" Marian (Gibbs) Swartz, 56, of Marion, Ohio.  After living a life of kindness and compassion, Lee passed away peacefully at home on August 3, 2010.

Lee was born on April 18, 1954 in New Zealand to Bernie A. and Patricia E. (Hunter) Gibbs who preceded her in death.

Lee graduated from from Wellington Teachers College in New Zealand and taught for two years before embarking on a solo journey to see the world.

Cuba Elizabeth Wasson, age 104, of Marion, died Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Marion Manor.

She was born on January 28, 1906 in Marion the daughter of the late Charles and Nora (Swartz) Kerr.

Aside from a short period of time spent in London, England, Scotland, and New Hampshire she has lived most of her life in the Marion area.

Rosemary “Mim” Coulson, age 75, of Marion, died Monday afternoon, August 2, 2010, at Marion General Hospital after twenty years of fighting several illnesses.

On November 17, 1934, Mim was born in Marion, Ohio, one of five daughters of the late Floyd and Eva (Endsley) Cornely.  She graduated from Marion Catholic High School in the Class of 1952.

Dolores Dorothy O'Brien, 96, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at her residence.

Dolores was born on June 2, 1914 in Marion to the late Grover C. and Burnice M. (Greeno) Keil.

William J. "Bill" Veness Jr., age 86, formerly of Marion, peacefully went home to be with Jesus on Friday evening, July 30, 2010, at the Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service in Akron, Ohio, following a brief illness.

On March 16, 1924, Bill was born in Grand Prairie Township of Marion County, the son of the late William J. Sr. and Kathryn (Roberts) Veness.  He graduated from Harding High School in the Class of 1942.

Judith Arlene Jones, age 51 of Magnetic Springs, born February 19, 1959, died Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the Gables at Green Pastures after battling a progressive brain disease for 8 years.  She passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family.
